Aircraft Pushback
VR Training For Aircraft Pushback Operations
What it does
- Full tug driving training: automatic and manual transmission, single-axle, dual-axle, and crab steering modes with cabin raised or lowered.
- Complete pushback procedure with dispatcher coordination on the apron, trained across day/night, fog, wet, and icy-surface conditions.
- Emergency scenarios such as pin breakage, head breakage, wheel slip, and a blocked path due to another vehicle.
Why it matters
Aircraft pushback puts ground crews in close proximity to a moving aircraft and other apron traffic, where a coordination error can mean serious damage or injury. The simulator lets tug operators build the full procedure and emergency response in VR before ever moving a real aircraft.
